Bryophyte collection in BHCB herbarium is still
quite small, with currently ca. 380 vouchers,
mostly collected in the state of Minas Gerais
(Brazil), from different ecosystems as Cerrado
sensu strictu, granitic and ferruginous rocky
outcrops, and gallery and semi-deciduous
forests. Increasing efforts to expand the
collection as well as to determine the
specimens contained therein have been made
in the last two years (2014-2015), which will
result soon in an enrichment of this important
collection.
