This collection aims to store microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) derived from research conducted at FCFRP-USP and the institutes on the USP Ribeirão Preto campus. This collection houses several subcollections of mutants of species of biological interest, such as pathogens, producers of enzymes of biotechnological interest, as well as strains of interest for bioprospecting secondary metabolites and compounds with potential therapeutic potential. There are currently over 10,000 strains of bacteria and fungi.
