The Herbarium BOTU is registered in Index Herbarium and has a collection of some 27,000 plants specimens from different places, but mainly in the Botucatu region, plus a collection of fruits and seeds with predominantly samples of the Cerrado region, with relevance to the state São Paulo. It is the custodian of the botanical materials for the various research projects and dissertations and theses of the various Post Graduate Program of Campus of Botucatu, and others. We currently have the following special collections: Erythroxylaceae; Flora of Serra da Mantiqueira;Plants from Cerrado Paulista (Savanna like vegetation); Plants from São Paulo Cost and Serra do Mar (Tropical Atlantic Florest); Porto Primavera Collection; Cerrado `13 de maio`; Toxic and Medicinal Plants from Cerrado of São Paulo state; Plants from Humaitá/AM; Cerrado Pratânia Collection; Lichenized Fung Collection.
