The HATM Herbarium is a didactic-scientific herbarium, registered with the Rede Brasileira de Herbários, with about 4000 specimens, is registered in the Brazilian Network of Herbariums, is currently in the process of computerizing the collection, registering in the Index Herbariorum and also being accredited to become a faithful depository of scientific collections.HATM is a regional herbarium undergoing consolidation, is located at the Faculty of Biological Sciences, UFPA / Campus Altamira, at the headquarters of the municipality of Altamira and houses in its collection specimens of the Volta Grande Region of the Xingu River (Belo Monte HPP) and 06 (six) municipalities in the Transamazônica / Xingu Territory.
