The Herbarium Caririense Dárdano de Andrade-Lima - HCDAL / URCA was founded on September 19, 1992. Custodian of Brazilian Herbaria Index Herbarium and currently has a collection of 10,500 herbarium specimens. Home to 144 plant families, with the most representative in number of fish: Fabaceae (916 species), Euphorbiaceae (300 species), Asteraceae (230 species), Myrtaceae (168 species) and Rubiaceae (167 species). The HCDAL has representatives from Flora of Araripe (EC, PI and PE) of various biomes (Moist Forest, Cerrado, Savana, Caatinga, Gallery Forest, Carrasco).
