The Herbarium Dr. Ronaldo Wasum of the Universidade Estadual do Rio Grande do Sul - Litoral Norte (HERW) was created on September 15, 2015 and has 2,800 exsiccata. Of this number, 2,500 are bryophytes collected in the North Coast and Mountainous Region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in addition to Antarctica and Chilean Patagonia and Argentina. It is the first herbarium of the Northern Coast of the state of RS.
