The HUCS Herbarium is a collection located in the northeast region of the Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. It includes specimens of different local ecosystems, mostly of Araucaria Forest and Grassland vegetation. Nowadays the herbarium directs its sampling activities in the recognition of the coastal plain vegetation. At the same time, it has developed environmental education actions along with the Botanical Garden of Caxias do Sul.
