The Herbarium of the Bioscience and Biotechnology Center of the Northern Fluminense State University Darcy Ribeiro (HUENF) has established itself as a regional reference in botanical research and extension. The HUENF has a collection of c. 12,000 vouchers, mainly from the north / northwest Fluminense region of Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. Most of the collection is the result of research carried out at the Universidade Estadual Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF) and other research and higher education institutions in the State.
