	<dc:description>Currently the Mongoyós Herbarium (HVC) contains approximately 6,000 specimens, including plants, algae and fungi. The collected specimens come mainly from areas of caatinga, rupestrian field, rain forest, “Mata de cipó” and cerrado of the State of BAHIA (Brazil), with some donations received from other Brazilian states. The HVC is registered in the Brazilian Network of Herbariums in 2015 and the main collections that make up the collection are those of the Conservation Units of the Southwest region of Bahia, such as the National ParK and the Wildlife Refuge of Boa Nova (Ba), and City Park of “Serra do Periperi” (Vitória da Conquista / Bahia). The most representative families in the Collection are Fabaceae, Melastomataceae, Asteraceae, Euphorbiaceae, Malpighiaceae and Apocynaceae.</dc:description>
