The collection of Foraminifera has mainly specimensoccurring in the Brazilian continental margin, although it has also material coming from other countries. We have more than 241,460 studied and identified foraminifers, belonging to 700 species. The collection is under digitization and has 231 specimens available in the net. Sample collections are available in more than 1587card slides (plummercell slides) with the specimens identified in species and genus level. The collections are dry mounted according the technical norms used for the group. The collection is mainly driven to researchers of national and foreign institutions, people working with biological, environmental and geological topics as well asgraduation and master degree students.
