The entomological collection LESPP is divided in two sections according to the main orders of studied insects: the Hymenoptera section, with enphasis in wasps and bees, and the Lepidoptera section, with emphasis in butterflies. The collection LESPP is open to visitation and loan of specimens to researchers interested in the taxonomy, systematics and ecology of the species in our collection. This way, the collection LESPP benefits the academic community and the main public through the supply of informations about the entomofauna of Maranhão state.
