The scientific collection of the Laboratory of Ecology and
Taxonomy of Insects, present at the PUC Minas`s Natural Sciences
Museum, has a dry collection, with representatives of 14 insect
orders, and a wet collection, with representatives of aquatic
orders. Currently, there are more than 26,000 specimens in the
collection and about 10,988 specimens in our computerized
registry. In addition, the wet collections still do not have a
computerized record, as well as Lepidoptera specimens, which
will still be computerized.
