The SPVR Herbarium’s main focus is to create a collection on the Atlantic Rainforest of Vale do Ribeira, in the southern region of the State of São Paulo, Brazil, where the largest continuous fragment in Brazil occurs. The collection, around 2000 specimens, is made up mainly of Angiosperms, followed by Ferns and Lycophytes, and Gymnosperms.
