The Scientific Collection of Solifuges of the
Museum of Natural History of the Federal
University of Bahia (MHNBA) had its first record
in December 1996, from the collection of 76
specimens from the region of the São Francisco
dunes, municipalities of Barra, and Gentio do
Ouro, Bahia . The collection was stopped during
the following years and only restarted recently,
in 2021. It is a small collection, where only 17
lots from locations in the state of Bahia are
currently listed, with data organized in an Excel
spreadsheet. None of the lots are identified at
any taxonomic level other than order.
