The fanerogamic acquis of the Herbarium UFRN is composed by 7.700 exsicates belonging to 160 families, such as
Fabaceae (1302), Poaceae (283), Rubiaceae (272), Asteraceae (232), Euphorbiaceae (329), Erythroxylaceae (230), Myrtaceae (203) and
Convolvulaceae (202). The collection of Fungi also allocated in this herbarium includes about 500 specimens collected mainly from
several places of the Northeastern Brazil, has 1 holotype (Geastrum entomophilum) and 1 isotype (Phallus pygmaeus). The families more
representatives in number of species are Geastraceae and Phallaceae. {b} The collection records were removed on June 9, 2017 by curator`s request.{/b}
