The Lepidoptera collection of the Zoology Museum of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) presently
includes about 20.000 mounted individuals prepared and identified, with another 200.000 collected specimens, still awaiting
identification before final preparation and conclusion. These come from many parts of South America including almost all Brazilian
states and many other Neotropical sites, with emphasis on the state of São Paulo (BIOTA-FAPESP project results). The majority of
recently acquired material has been organized into the scientific collection with most specimens separated by families, genera and
species, assisted by V.O. Becker and numerous group members
